This is the extra guest cottage on property of a large upscale home in a secluded jungle setting -  VRBO #5031928.  We have been hosting guests from all over the world since 2007 and have no less than 140 5star reviews posted there.   This is a serene and secure property with lots of birds and wildlife, multiple waterfalls and hiking trails. The cottage is an ideal place to disconnect and appreciate being surrounded by nature at its finest. This garden building has 3 air-conditioned rooms   Two bedrooms, each with a queen bed and en-suite bath.  Studio kitchenette with living area and bunk beds.  Satellite internet is provided.  An outdoor terrace and sitting area connects the rooms.  

The property used to be a cacao  and swine farm decades ago.  It was abandoned and Mother Nature has long since reforested it completely.  Many acres of primary forest exist - especially along the steep hilly areas by the river.  We have scattered teak, fruit trees and medicinal plants around the property for the delight of our guests.  Our staff will gladly give guided nature hikes.

LosAiresCR is a bird watchers paradise and has amazing wildlife viewing right from the house. Toucans, hummingbirds, our resident sloth, howler monkeys and wildlife galore are all found here in our hillside setting. All of the wildlife photos shown were taken on site. You will have access to the acres of tropical forest with tended hiking trails  The area around LosAiresCR is quiet and safe. Feel free to walk as far as you like on the miles of country roads and enjoy the sounds and serenity of the rain forest. The spectacular 165 ft tall waterfall in the "Emerald City" is one of the best kept secrets in our area. It is a moderate, yet beautiful trek up river from the property (safely accessible in the dry season only) The final pictures in our collection show the imposing high walls of the slot canyon covered in greenery and shrouded  in mist.  It is a most magical place.

Our concierge, Esteban, is at your service throughout your stay..  He is glad to recommend local activities and restaurants and will do guided hikes to the area waterfalls. We know of at least 8.

While in the guest cottage  you are just  a few minutes  walk to the tall twin waterfalls and the peaceful "grotto" with its mutiple gentle broad cascades water.  The perfect place for book and a cold drink.  You have access to the full 60 acres of forest with multiple hiking trails and miles of country roads for long strolls in a tranquil setting. It is an easy drive to Nuayaca waterfalls 20 min, the ocean/Dominical, the deserted palm strung beaches at Guapil and the Manuel Antonio Park. The full service town of San Isidro is 30 min away.  A 4x4 vehicle is REQUISITE  to safely navigate the local gravel roads, especially if wet.  There are a number of great local restaurants along the main highway and some well stocked local supermarkets.
